Description: The layer Sinks is an SDE feature showing the location of many of the sinkholes found in Greene County. Each of the polygons have been drawn to portray the physical boundary or "rim" of the sink. This rim is the visible edge of the sink as found by using LiDAR. A Hillshade with a z factor of 30, 1' contours, fill sink surface raster were all tools used to find the visible rim. 2012 air photos, Dr.Thomson sink study and City of Springfield sink studies were used as supporting data. Initial completion was on 6-26-13, but will be continually updated and field verified as new data comes in.
